Musha 32.5" Hand Forged Musashi Iaido Wakizashi Training Sword

Musashi Tsuba Iaido training Wakizashi.  Full tang polished 1045 high carbon steel makes this a resilient wakizashi that is durable right out of the box.  Please keep in mind that this is a training wakizashi, it is NOT SHARP, but can be sharpened.  The Tsuba depicts the crest that is a traditional double ring used by the famous Japanese swordsman Miyamoto Musashi.  The hardwood handle offers genuine ray skin with tight cord wrappings.  This blade features integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a common misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the wakizashi, it actually has nothing to do with channeling the blood. Making the Wakizashi lighter enables the user to wield the wakizashi better and puts less stress on the hands. Not to mention it benefits some advance fighting techniques that requires the wakizashi to change direction rapidly.  With the same look and feel of a real sharpened battle ready sword however without the sharp edge this wakizashi will be ideal for training practice
